From 1st January 2007, the Witney Parliamentary Constituency boundaries will change and become co-terminous with the boundaries of West Oxfordshire District Council. Begbroke and Yarnton, part of the Cherwell District Council will transfer to the Oxford West and Abingdon constituency following a Boundary Commission review. Our Conservative Association has its offices in Bridge Street, Witney from where we administer the work of our party in the Witney Constituency. This includes providing a local office for our Member of Parliament and Leader of the Conservative Party, the Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP, servicing the needs of our party members in West Oxfordshire and working to secure the election of our Member of Parliament, MEPs, Conservative County Councillors, District Councillors as well as Town Councillors in Witney, Carterton and Chipping Norton, our three largest market towns.
In addition the Constituency Association organises, through a number of clubs such as Business Forum, Supper Club, Policy Forum, Women's Organisation and Conservative Future, a varied programme of political and social events for all ages throughout the year with interesting guest speakers from the worlds of politics, business, media, academia, literary writers and the public sector.
